Position Overview The Peer Support Specialist provides peer support, information, and advocacy to individuals diagnosed with a serious and persistent relevant illness, in order to assist them in regaining control over their own lives and recovery process and integrating into the community. They engage with patients hospitalized at UHS Hospitals. Primary Department, Division, or Unit: UHS Outpatient Mental Health Clinic Primary Work Shift: Day Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Compensation Range: per hour, depending on experience ----- Education/Experience Minimum Required: HS Diploma or equivalent Preferred: License/Certification Minimum Required: Must receive Peer Support Specialist Certification within 24 months of hire.…
