GENERAL FUNCTION: The Subcontracts Administrator (SCA) will have a working knowledge of Government contracting practices (i.e. Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR( and Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS)). The SCA will be required to apply analytical skills to gather information, discern best value, develop acquisition strategies, and systematically document all phases of a negotiated action. An understanding of various types and methods of contracting, subcontracting and purchasing, as well as a working knowledge of relevant government regulations, is essential.
