This Position reports to: R&D Team Lead Your role and responsibilities Mine hoists are the most critical production unit in the underground mines. Payloads of ~70tons can be hoisted with 18m/s from ~1500m below surface. In the future mining high payload solutions are planned to hoist from >2000m. This thesis will address next generation mine hoists, with the goal to reduce energy usage and reduce the environmental impact.…
