Department/Unit: Neuroscience & Experimental Therapeutic Work Shift: Per Diem (United States of America) Salary Range: $46,215.00 - $60,080.00 A technician position is available to study sex differences in risk factors for dementia. Risk factors of interest include: menopause, andropause, diet-induced obesity, vascular damage, and chronic stress. Our studies utilize a variety of approaches, including in vivo cerebral blood flow measurements, in vivo gene manipulation (AAVs), cognitive behavioral testing, endothelial translatome (TRAP-seq), transcriptomics, molecular biology, immunohistochemistry, mouse models of metabolic disease, menopause, andropause, vascular dementia, multi-etiology dementia, and Alzheimer’s disease.…
