Acute Care Hospital Infection Preventionist is responsible for supporting and promoting a comprehensive infection prevention and control program. This role uses epidemiology, surveillance, education, and performance improvement strategies to prevent healthcare-associated infections and promote patient and employee safety. Job Responsibilities: Conduct infection surveillance using epidemiologic principles, CDC criteria, laboratory data, and applicable surveillance systems. Identify and investigate healthcare-associated infections, outbreaks, clusters, exposures, and emerging infection trends.
