SUMMARY: The Pipefitter l ayouts, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating and industrial production and processing systems, applying knowledge of system operation, and following blueprints. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assemble and install variety of metal and nonmetal pipes, tubes, and fittings, including iron, steel, copper, and plastic Cut pipe to length, using saws, pipe cutter, cutting torch, and pipe cutting machine Able to accurately and assemble piping offsets and joints Assisting in the training of less experienced pipefitters and providing guidance on best practices.…
