Support Worker

Job Summary: To work as a member of a team providing a supportive home environment to residents with learning disabilities and possible physical and sensory disabilities. To support residents in their daily living skills and in pursuing a valued lifestyle in terms of occupations, relationships, etc, using where appropriate structured teaching techniques. Duties: To support residents respecting their dignity and right to privacy. To work with residents and their families/carers in preparing for moving into Piper House, moving between flats, or out into the community as levels of independence increase To support (as appropriate) residents in completing household tasks e.g. cooking, shopping, cleaning, using structured teaching techniques to develop resident’ skills.…
