About this role
BASIC FUNCTION : A Graduate Vocational Nurse who has a temporary work permit, must work under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse or a Licensed Vocational Nurse in a preceptor program for three months. The Registered Professional Nurse and/or Licensed Vocational Nurse must be physically present on the unit for a period of six months or less if agreed upon. He/She reports symptoms and conditions of residents and maintains records. He/She assists as necessary in assignments of duties to provide total nursing care.
