About this role
Principal Purpose of Position: To repair and maintain refrigeration equipment, air conditioning units, ventilation units, heating units including gas hot water heaters, and the installation of certain HVAC equipment. Receives general instructions and location of unit to be repaired from supervisor. Checks unit or system and diagnoses trouble. Uses various test equipment in performance of function. Plans repair procedure by analyzing site conditions, blueprints, sketches, and other available information. Orders stocked parts directly from stores via requisition cards or pick list. Consults with and assists supervision concerning special tools and non‑stock materials and parts needed for the repair.…
