About this role

Join CERN's Geodetic Metrology Group and contribute to the metrology and alignment of components used in particle physics experiments. Your main focus will be the Full Remote Alignment System (FRAS), which uses a network of high-precision sensors and electromechanical actuators to monitor and remotely adjust accelerator components with micrometric precision. As a Mechanical Technician in the High Precision Alignment Technologies Section, you will contribute to the procurement, assembly, testing, installation and commissioning of FRAS mechanical and electromechanical components.
