About this role
What The Role Is Reporting to the Manager, Market Fundamentals & Transmission, the Senior Associate will serve as a Western market SME and develop the company’s views across Western US power markets, focusing on forecasting energy prices, curtailment risk, ancillary services, capacity, and RECs. This role will help enhance the company’s power market modeling capabilities and integrate it into the growth of project development, M&A, and hedging risk management activities. What You'll Be Doing Short Term Analytics Update the latest fundamental information on transmission upgrades, load forecasts, generation buildout, and gas/fuel prices; develop a view on hub prices, RA prices, REC prices, capture ratios, and curtailment to inform the operation of renewable and gas assets.…
