Shot Peen Technician (1st Shift Weekend, Fri-Mon)

JOB SUMMARY The position of Shot Peen Technician will apply their skills and knowledge in the disciplines of shot peen processes, (or similar types of processes),operations, and application on turbine engine components.  At CRT, shot peen is used as a metal cold working process that creates a compressive residual stress layer at the component surface designed to increase fatigue life.  This is accomplished by impacting the metal surface of the component with shot (small metallic particles) sufficient enough to create plastic deformation.  This is accomplished via computer aided programing equipment.
