Summary Under the direction of the Manager Sterile Processing Department, the Lead Technician expedites the daily work flow. The Lead Technician holds technicians on his or her shift accountable for departmental service standards. He/she is instrumental in the training and teaching of new technicians. The Lead Technician is responsible for supporting and assisting in the delivery of quality surgical sets and supply delivery and is a front line member of the Sterile Processing Department. A Sterile Processing Department Lead Technician specializes in the decontamination, set assembly and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment needed for patient care throughout Concord Hospital and its delegated affiliates.
