Summary Under the direction of the Director and/or Nurse Manager, the Perinatal Technician is responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care duties for a group of patients, from simple to complex, for the specialty population on the unit or department, under the guidance and supervision of the registered nurse. The Perinatal Technician provides surgical care to perinatal patients within the operating room under the supervision of a registered nurse and surgeons. The Perinatal Tech utilizes AORN Standards, Recommended Practices, and Guidelines as a reference to ensure quality, safety, and appropriateness of patient care. Education High school or equivalent (GED) preferred. Completion of a certificate program for Licensed Nursing Assistant.…
