SUMMARY The Gauger is responsible for performing inspection work in petroleum and petrochemical terminals, refineries, and aboard ships and barges. The role involves sampling, measurement, supervision, and quality control of petroleum products in accordance with industry standards and guidelines established by API , ISO and Saybolt. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Collect samples of petroleum products from cargo tanks on ships, shore tanks, and railway tank cars. Properly label and transport samples to chemical laboratories for analysis. Measure and record the quantity of goods in shore tanks. Inspect and verify the cleanliness of rail tankers before loading. Determine the degree of filling in rail tank cars and seal tank car valves.…
