About this role
The Pulp Drier Fireman position will monitor and adjust all pulp dryer controls, automation and computer systems located in the dryer control room at the factory. Principle accountabilities include but are not limited to: Responds appropriately in case of drum fire or fire in any other related equipment. Collects pulp samples for moisture tests. Maintains maximum pulp dryer output. Maintains maximum pellet production. Communicates promptly and accurately in case of any problems or issues. Operates within prescribed parameters on dried pulp moisture, pellet moisture and bulk density of pellets. Makes rounds in the pulp dryers and monitors and adds lubrication to the systems as needed. Implements emergency procedures in event of steam dryer plug, drumfire or a fire in related equipment.…
