Associate, Pavement Maintenance Technician

Job Overview Under general supervision of the Pavement Supervisor, operates a pavement sweeper to remove debris from public roadways and parking lots as well as the airfield when necessary. Respond to emergency situations such as vehicle accidents to provide assistance to DPS. Patch small potholes on airfield requiring cold patch asphalt. Assist the other departments on miscellaneous needs involving public roadways such as debris or trash in the roadways, setting up cones or barricades, deicing sidewalks and roadways, etc. Operate snow and ice removal equipment during winter weather events. May be asked to assist with operating light duty equipment as well as use power and hand tools to repair concrete and asphalt surfaces such as runways, taxiways, roadways, and parking lots.…
