Location: Shift: Scheduled Weekly Hours: 0 Worker Type: Regular Exemption Status: No Job Summary: Phlebotomists are responsible for collection and procurement of blood and human specimens in the clinical setting. This role is an important component of patient experience, and the individual is expected to collaborate with clinical counterparts to provide a safe environment that promotes the best possible outcomes. Job Duties: Performs venipunctures and skin punctures to obtain blood specimens according to the Clinical laboratory Standards Institute guidelines. Demonstrates expertise in patient identification, specimen collection, labeling, accessioning, and processing. Exhibit strong problem solving skills. Understands the criteria for specimen acceptability and rejection.…
