Specifically, this is an excellent experience for students planning a career as a physical therapist, physical therapy assistant, or occupational thearpist who plan a “gap year” before matriculation to professional school. Interns will gain comprehensive education and experience in all aspects of clinical operations and workflow, not limited to patient education, rooming patients, learning billing procedures, and various other administrative responsibilities.
