The Medical Assistant performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support assignments. Typically work on semi-routine assignments. The Medical Assistant performs clinical duties such as discussing symptoms and obtaining vital signs. They also administer medications and vaccines, perform phlebotomy, and collect specimens. Additionally, they perform diagnostic screening tests, sterilize and clean equipment, and maintain examination rooms.
