Job Description: The Patient Care Technician functions as a clinical support partner, assisting the patient care team by performing various tasks and procedures as instructed by a licensed professional. Additionally, the Patient Care Technician may assume the responsibilities of a Health Unit Coordinator. *FULL-TIME NIGHT SHIFT AND FULL-TIME DAY SHIFT NEEDED* Unit Description: The Surgical Care Unit is a 34 bed unit that serves a variety of surgical patients including ENT, abdominal, thoracic, urology, plastic, bariatric, and general surgery. PCT’s assist with vitals, ambulation, ADL’s, glucometers, and I/O’s. The numerous procedures seen on our unit allow PCT’s to develop skills with many types of drains, procedures, and patients.…
