Title: DG BOSS: Crane Rigger (FN) The incumbent performs the duties of rigging works in preparation to crane lift. Performs rigging planning, load evaluation and calculations, rigging selection, hooking-up slings and signaling crane operator. Utilizes forklift trucks or dolly for movement, loading, unloading of supplies, material, heavy or cumbersome objects or equipment; selecting and implementing properly sized wheels, pulleys, cables, straps, winches, hoists, etc. for each job; cable and catenaries; installing and repairing rigging and weight handling gear on docks’ under the supervision of the Crane Rigger Supervisor. Determines the procedures, type and quantity of tools and equipment needed to execute the aforementioned operations.…
