Your job is more than a job. The Cardiac Monitor Technician is responsible for observing the central cardiac monitor display, documenting and reporting rhythms. Ensures reporting equipment problems, maintaining supplies and workstation as necessary. GENERAL DUTIES Performs cardiac monitoring by continuously observing the monitor screen for proper waveform on each telemetry patient, prevent the loss of signal and to ensure accurate capture of potential cardiac events. Assigns the telemetry transmitter to the patient, assists the staff in establishing/maintaining electrode placement using proper skin preparation and electrode placement. Selects the lead for monitoring and insures an acceptable tracing for monitoring purposes. Ensures battery function/replaces batteries as necessary.…
