Your job is more than a job. The Respiratory Therapist Registered evaluates, treats and cares for patients with breathing or other cardiopulmonary disorders, under the direction of a physician. Determines the site for arterial puncture or cannulation, the selection of artificial airway types and sizes, initial ventilatory settings for mechanical ventilation, ventilator changes based on established parameters and patient assignments to staff based on skills inventory.
