Job Description: The Patient Transporter reports to the Patient Transport Supervisor and is responsible for patient transportation and for continual surveillance of hallways and corridors to ensure equipment and other items are not stored in egress pathways and to move them to appropriate locations. Transporters are expected to be detail oriented and to report any unusual occurrence that may take place with the patient during transport. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, transporting patients, obtaining patient weights, performing patient lifts, moving equipment, monitoring halls, cleaning equipment, completing daily tracking sheets, and responding to codes and over head pages.…
