A Day In The Life at MKS: As an Opto/Mechanical Technician at MKS, you will be responsible for the advanced assembly of optical systems for lasers, laser radars and electro-optical sensors and instruments. You Will Make an Impact By: Audit 1-2 work order kits from warehouse to confirm pieces and part numbers Prepare subassembly components Follow written procedures or drawings developed by engineers and suggest improvements to optimize production Assemble and debug systems incorporating optical, mechanical, and electronic components Test each level of assembly (4-5 processes) at the system level using laboratory instruments (i.e. interferometer, Zygo, etc.) Alignment, optimization, stability, transmission, etc.…
