About the Opportunity Job Summary: The Animal Care Technician provides husbandry and care to laboratory animals, maintains animal inventory records and Animal Husbandry and Room Maintenance Records and performs facility sanitation in DLAM’s Animal Facilities. This person is required to complete assigned work schedules with little to no supervision. The technician should be able to work independently and make correct decisions in their daily routine. The position is under an alternate schedule, working Tuesday through Saturday, as well as requiring work on weekends and holidays. The position involves daily exposure to laboratory animals and their waste products. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalency degree.
