Base Pay: $77,958.40 Annual . SUMMARY: Directs the enforcement of state and local laws pertaining to the apprehension and services of animals within Nueces County (excluding the cities of Corpus Christi, Robstown, and Bishop). SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Directs the activities of three Animal Services Officers, one kennel shelter attendant and a clerk. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Nueces County policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Ensures that staff is properly trained and up to date regarding animal services methods and legal requirements.…
