Job Description: The Claims Accountant/Analyst is responsible for all claim related accounting functions, including general ledger entries and internal and external reporting for assisting in the evaluation of loss rates and reserve adequacy, compiling information for state loss calls, the maintenance of the automated claim system, and for the performance of other financial projects as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinate all daily and monthly claim-related accounting including loss provision accruals, claim payments, reconciliations, salvage, and reserve adjustments. Assist Corporate Legal and IS in maintaining the internet-based claims system including clearing edits, identifying and resolving system problems and reconciling the system to the general ledger.…
