SUMMARY: Under the supervision of a Physician, Nurse Practitioner or Registered Nurse, the Medical Assistant (MA) may perform certain direct patient care services and support procedures within the clinic area at PACE Southeast Michigan. The MA will act only within the scope of his/her authority to practice. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS: Escorting participants into the exam room and preparing them for examination by the provider; if necessary, the MA may assist the participant in undressing and preparing for the examination. May be required to escort participants to laboratory, radiology department or appointments. Taking vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration), height and weights and recording them in the medical record.…
