Job Description: Overview: Observes construction work in progress to ensure that procedures and materials comply with plans and specifications by performing the following duties. Responsibilities: Measure distances to verify accuracy of dimensions for structural installations and layouts. Verify levels, alignment, and elevation of installations. Observe work in progress to ensure procedures followed and materials used conform to specifications and submittals. Examine workmanship of finished installations for conformity to standards. Interpret plans and specifications for contractors and discuss deviations from specified construction procedures with engineers, contractors, and/or owners to ensure compliance with regulations.…
