About this role
GSO-Metals Mechanic Repair and fabricate piping. Understand differing metallurgy and the application of same in the refinery. Install and remove various types of blinds, orifice plates and ancillary systems. Must be willing to perform/comply with the following: responsible for the installation/removal, fabrication, welding and repair on equipment such as pipe, steel structure, reactors, heat exchangers, towers, heaters, boilers, tanks and other related equipment in the Refinery. Able to use shop tools (pipe threading machine, drill press, cutoff/band saw, break, roll press, etc.) Ensure all tools are in working condition and make minor repairs as necessary.
