Post operatively rounds on patients and manages patient care. Job Description: Begins patient rounds at 0700. Sees post-op patients in IRR, writes progress notes & transfers orders as needed. And enters orders in PEO APC in operating room assists in having patient prepped, draped, and ready for surgical procedure. Serves as Floor APC to start patient rounds on cardiac units. Removes pacer wires and chest tubes as needed. Prepares post op patient for discharge (prescriptions, coumadin, teaching, post-surgical teaching) and dictates discharge summaries. Checks all outstanding labs and CXR on in house patients.…
