Onze geschiedenis is diep geworteld in wetenschap en kunst . Edwin Land, een wetenschapper, kunstenaar en zakenman richtte Polaroid op in 1937. Hij gebruikte kunst en wetenschap om de baanbrekende SX-70 instant camera te ontwerpen. Decennia later gebruikten kunstenaars als Andy Warhol en Keith Haring Polaroid-camera's en fotografie om zichzelf uit te drukken, labels in twijfel te trekken en de status quo uit te dagen.
