POSITION SUMMARY: The Lead Wastewater Operator is responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of a wastewater treatment facility. The incumbent enforces plant and personnel safety by implementing procedures and providing training as directed by management. The Lead Wastewater Operator ensures that pumps, blowers, vacuum equipment, ultrafilters, and other treatment systems remain operational, and applies technical expertise to operate equipment when necessary. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Direct operations staff in the compliant treatment of landfill leachate. Supervise chemical and parts inventory to ensure compliance and availability of supplies. Maintain housekeeping of leachate handling/processing areas and ensure safe storage and handling of process chemicals.…
