About this role
ESSENTIAL TASKS The tasks listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional tasks related to the type of work of the class as necessary. Operates heavy equipment to excavate and compact earth, load / unload materials, move / haul materials, maintain County properties, cut down trees, install pipe, construct roads, and perform other general or specialized functions of various County departments. May operate dump trucks and other trucks, motor graders, excavators, backhoe, slope mower and asphalt paving machine. Often hauls equipment on the low-boy that weighs in excess of 80,000 pounds. Manually loads / unloads materials onto vehicles; transports materials and equipment to/from work sites.…
