Position Highlights The Building Facilities Operations Coordinator keeps the Chester F. Carlson Center for Imaging Science at the Rochester Institute of Technology running smoothly and safely. The 70,000 sq. ft. Carlson building houses 20 laboratories, several classrooms, 40 offices, and a 150-seat auditorium. In addition, this position manages the lab stockroom, supervises student workers and lab GTAs, and ensures equipment is organized, supplied, repaired, and ready for weekly labs. The role oversees critical safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, eyewashes, showers, and exhaust hoods; ensures employees complete required safety training; conducts annual physical inventory; and maintains property accounting procedures, including asset tagging and reporting.…
