Eind 2024 is de eerste Spoedeisende Medische Dienst (SEMD) van Nederland geopend. De SEMD is één gezamenlijke organisatie voor acute basiszorg vanuit de huisartsen, SEH, VVT, GGZ en Ambulancezorg.
