Position Summary The Senior Director of Catastrophe Modeling leads catastrophe risk analytics for Ryan Alternative Risks, an Alternative Risk Transfer (ART) organization built around parametric structures, facultative and treaty reinsurance, and multi-year contracts. This is a distinct discipline from traditional portfolio cat modeling, and the role offers an experienced modeler the chance to apply deep technical skill to novel, structurally complex risk. The Senior Director sits at the intersection of modeling science, data engineering, and underwriting strategy, owning both the technical execution of cat modeling (RMS, AIR) and the tooling, pipelines, and automation that make that modeling fast, accurate, and scalable — while building and managing the team that delivers it.…
