About this role
Overview Utilizes manual machining equipment to produce replacement and new metal parts for mechanical equipment repairs. Fabricate metal parts for experimental apparatus, prototype equipment, new production equipment, tools or dies, working from drawing, blueprints, verbal or written instructions. Responsibilities Under general supervision, performs a variety of tasks which requires a thorough knowledge of fabrication techniques, materials, tools and equipment. Work from CAD data, engineering drawing, rough sketches, manuals or verbal instructions. Operate equipment such as, but not limited to, vertical end mill, lathe, band saw, wire welder, arc welder, gas welder, cutting torch, surface grinder and CNC equipment.…
