About this role

SMX Is hiring a Junior Telecommunications Line Installer and Repairer to support the Protective Distribution System (PDS) and Network Infrastructure teams. In this role, you will perform daily inspection of the RDT&E fiber network across NAS Pax River by inspecting PDS conduits, pulling boxes to ensure none have been tampered with, inspect communications closets to ensure the PDS cabinets are secure and have not been tampered with. The PDS/Network Infrastructure Team supports NAWCAD - Digital Network and Applications department 365 days per year. Coverage is shared by the entire team. ***Each team member may be required to alternate supporting weekends and/or Holidays on a rotating shift.*** Essential Duties & Responsibilities…
