About this role

The University of Virginia School of Data Science is seeking a Marketing and Communications Intern to work alongside the Communications Team in the fall of 2026 with the option to renew spring 2027. The intern will assist with writing, editing, proofreading, and event coverage. The successful candidate will be co-supervised by the Director of Communications and the Writer and Editorial Specialist, working alongside a team of professional marketers and communicators. RESPONSIBILITIES • Create, edit, and proofread articles for publication on the School of Data Science website and monthly newsletter. • Fact check names, titles, and details of data science materials. • Cover School events and activities, conducting interviews and gathering notes, transcripts, and quotes for stories.…
