POSITION SUMMARY: The Ophthalmic Technician will assist the Ophthalmologist with diagnostic and treatment-oriented procedures and administrative tasks under the general guidance of the Practice Manager and Physician. EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved program for Ophthalmology Assistants (COA, COT, COMT). EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in an ophthalmology office. SPECIAL SKILLS: · BCLS certification preferred. · Understanding of the operations of a medical practice preferred.
