Mainframe Storage Engineer Role Summary The Mainframe Storage Engineer is responsible for supporting and optimizing Walmart’s enterprise mainframe storage infrastructure across complex, high availability parallel sysplex environments. This role manages storage pools, virtual tape, disaster recovery processes, and IBM storage technologies that support mission critical workloads at large scale. The engineer works closely with mainframe systems, capacity planning, operations, and application teams to ensure resilience, performance, and operational excellence.
