DEPARTMENT Public Works SALARY $22.74 - $28.43 JOB SUMMARY Under general supervision performs necessary procedures to install and maintain traffic control equipment. Perform related work as required. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Prepare for the installation of traffic control equipment such as conduit, switch boxes, transformers, and other electrical and electronic equipment by digging ditches, boring under streets, pulling wire, shoveling, operating jackhammer, pole trucks and digging machines. Install traffic control equipment which includes control cabinets, signal heads, signal poles, by pouring concrete, setting up pull boxes and other related equipment. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS: Install guardrail and bridge handrail and other related traffic control devices.…
