About this role
Summary The Cut/Cal Department ensures products meet customer, quality, and safety standards. Operators inspect and measure materials using metric tools and must be detail-oriented, able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs, and committed to safety and quality. Responsibilities Operate warming mills and cutting machines according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) . Inspect materials for defects and perform measurements using steel rulers, tape measures, gauges, and calipers. Record production data and machine status accurately. Follow proper procedures during abnormal situations and communicate issues to team and supervisors. Tag, record, and weigh scrap throughout the shift.
