About this role
The Health Director is responsible for implementing all medical requirements described in the camp safety plan submitted to the Suffolk County Department of Health and ensuring compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws. Responsibilities include reviewing, evaluating, protecting, and maintaining campers' health records; securing and administering medicines and treatment to campers according to physicians' orders; recording all treatment according to established procedures and reporting required incidents to the local health department within 24 hours. The Health Director determines when a camper must receive attention from a physician or other medical professional and arranges transportation as needed.…
