Traditional software environments are lacking reproducibility and rely upon many implicit and undocumented assumptions. Reproducibility is important in many ways. For example, security concerns of knowing what software you are running and being able to generate SBOMs (Software Bill of Material). It is also important to developer productivity in order to be able to reproduce bugs in both field and in development environment. It is also important to solve the “it works on my machine” problem.…
