About this role
Primary Duties Complies with all plant administrative rules. Complies with all applicable operating procedures. Obeys the plant safety rules. Operates tie machine to sort and grade ties. Oversees routine maintenance and reports additional needs to the Maintenance Supervisor. Verifies counts and car/truck load numbers. Prepares tie-grading reports for plant inventory purposes. Compiles inventory information on truck and rail ties. Compiles monthly information on the plant customer inventory. Checks quality and amount of arriving wood products. In accordance with size or grade insures separation, relocation, or storage of material such as cross, switch, or other forest products.…
