About this role
The key role of the RA II will be to perform administrative, research, and technical duties for the laboratory. Primary responsibility will be to support many aspects of well-functioning wetlab, including production and analysis of proteins, RNA, and DNA, cell culture, preparation of buffers and solutions, and other essential tasks. The ability to function independently, and as part of a team, is critical. Must communicate clearly, be organized, and have attention to detail. Essential Functions (Principal Duties and Job Responsibilities): Maintain trypanosome and mammalian cell cultures, Protein and DNA analysis, preparation of bacteriological plates, transfection, and performing other experiments as instructed.
